Over 12,000 elementary school children have been outfitted by the Back to School! Store since 2001. During the annual one-day event, 1,3000+ pre-selected elementary school children walk through and shop our pop-up store.

NCJW partners with more than 45 social service agencies, churches and community organizations to identify qualifying children from low-income families whose needs are not currently being met by existing services.

Each child is matched with a volunteer to help them shop for all new clothing and school supplies. Community organizations participate as part of the on-site Family Resource Center for parents and guardians offering: Child safety information, Nutrition/health information and Vision and Dental screenings.

From a participant's Grandmother:

"This year I found myself out of work and on the receiving end of your generosity and I cannot tell you how much this means to my family...I was truly worried about how we were going to provide coats for our grandchildren Now you have taken that worry away."
