Midwest* Children’s Burn Camp challenges burn-injured children to be the best they can be, to expand their skills, to build their inner strength and confidence, and to live life to the fullest. This unforgettable week offers boating, swimming, archery, ropes courses, and more, so kids can play, heal, grow, and support each other after experiencing tragic and life-alterning burns.

Risk & Challenges
Burn survivors, especially children, often fear isolation and rejection because of their physical appearance. We help burn survivors accept themselves just as they are, scars and all. With support from others who have been on the same journey, burn survivors gain self-confidence, find their inner strength, and get back to living their best possible lives.
Besides Burn Camp, what else does Burns Recovered to?
Burns Recovered provides emotional and practical support for burn survivors and their families, including hospital visits, support group meetings, and work and school re-entry programs. Our goal is to ensure that burn survivors connect with the support they need to move past the physical scars and live life to the fullest.
Why is this important?
The burn survivors who founded BRSG recognized the impact of support in their recovery and their hope for the future. While physicians heal the physical wounds caused by burns, BRSG helps the emotional healing begin and continue. We are passionate about helping burn survivors find their inner strength and beauty so they can live their lives fully with purpose and hope. Our support helps those who survived serious burns move from crisis to confidence.
Who staffs your camp?
Camp is staffed by all volunteers including firefighters, paramedics, first responders, nurses, therapists, and anyone interested in making the life of a burn-injured child a little happier!
