Midwest* Children’s Burn Camp challenges burn-injured children to be the best they can be, to expand their skills, to build their inner strength and confidence, and to live life to the fullest. This unforgettable week offers boating, swimming, archery, ropes courses, and more, so kids can play, heal, grow, and support each other after experiencing tragic and life-alterning burns.

Risk & Challenges
Burn survivors, especially children, often fear isolation and rejection because of their physical appearance. We help burn survivors accept themselves just as they are, scars and all. With support from others who have been on the same journey, burn survivors gain self-confidence, find their inner strength, and get back to living their best possible lives.
How much does Burn Camp Cost?
Kids attend camp at no charge; Burns Recovered raises the funds of about $2,000 for each child to attend.
Who are the campers?
Children between the ages of 6 to 17 who have been hospitalized for burns can attend; they do need approval from their physician.
Besides Burn Camp, what else does Burns Recovered to?
Burns Recovered provides emotional and practical support for burn survivors and their families, including hospital visits, support group meetings, and work and school re-entry programs. Our goal is to ensure that burn survivors connect with the support they need to move past the physical scars and live life to the fullest.
