The Corona Virus affects us all, including the lives of the animals we care for. We here at Conservation Ambassadors need your help. Please consider giving what you can to help us continue caring for our rescued animals through this pandemic.
Traditionally, we have earned our necessary operating funds primarily from programs. We have not run fundraisers like this in the past. Needless to say, due to the corona virus, all of our events have been cancelled for at least the next couple months.
While our incredible and dedicated staff has continued working on a volunteer basis, we need your help so that we can continue to provide the bare necessities for these amazing animals until this global pandemic is behind us.
Thousands upon thousands of wild and exotic animals are abused, displaced, abandoned, and/or permanently injured every year. For the past 30 years Conservation Ambassadors has been providing a permanent, loving home to as many of these beautiful animals as we can.
We currently have over 200 animals to care for. For the purpose of this fundraiser, we have calculated the average cost to provide the necessary food, general medical care and shelter for each animal is $165 per month.
Will you please help us? Your donation matters! Every dollar raised goes directly to Conservation Ambassadors and will help provide food, general care and shelter to an animal that is currently under our care.
We are all in this together. We need these animals and they need us - now more than ever.
Additionally, any help you can provide by sharing our information via email and social media would be greatly appreciated!
We appreciate your help and we sincerely THANK YOU, from the bottom of our hearts!
Meet Maya the Spider Monkey
Maya is a very special spider monkey. Twenty-five years ago she was found abandoned in a garbage dumpster in Los Angeles, left for dead. After her cries were heard and she was rescued, they brought her to us. We spent over 6 months nursing her back to health and gaining her trust. Maya has touched the lives of hundreds of thousands of people over the years and continues to do so today…
About Conservation Ambassadors
Our Mission: To provide permanent, loving homes to displaced, abused, abandoned or permanently injured wild and exotic animals, and to share these animal ambassadors through our daily outreach program helps educating students and learners of all ages about conservation, connecting them to the wild world and inspiring them to protect nature.
Our Journey: Gabe Kerschner and David Jackson, who started Conservation Ambassadors Wild Things over 30 years ago, have always had a passion for wildlife and wild places. Their degrees in zoological management and veterinary medicine help them create rescue zoos where non-releasable and unwanted wild and exotic animals can have a permanent loving home and a second chance at life as ambassadors for their species through outreach education programs. They have rescued hundreds of animals and educated millions of children over three decades.
