For students who rely on school breakfast and lunch programs, food has become a pressing need since schools have been closed due to the coronavirus. While schools and food distributors are working together to set up grab-and-go meal sites, we know there are students and families that are unable to access distribution sites and are struggling with hunger right now.
In an effort to fill this gap, we have launched the Feeding Hope program for the highest risk families identified by the school districts we serve. Through the program, we will coordinate directly with families to create a grocery list of food, as well as other essential items, and place the order through InstaCart. Through our needs assessment of each family, we also will work to connect them with other critical resources.
Your contribution matters! It will sustain this new program and support students and families in our community throughout this unprecedented crisis. Please give what you can. Every dollar counts.
On behalf of the families in need in our community, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
