Have you ever tried carrying a drum set to and from work every day? We certainly hope not. It's hard work! Especially for a student who just wants to practice before one of our completely free education programs. Jazz St. Louis is looking to raise $2,000 to purchase a new set of drums for the Centene Jazz Education Center in the Harold and Dorothy Steward Center for Jazz. These drums will be available for use by students participating in one of our many education and community engagement programs, including JazzU, Jazz Academy, and Artist Residencies. For some of these students the only access to a drum set is through one of our programs.
Help us celebrate the birthday of Board Member and avid jazz fan Russell Jackson by donating to Jazz St. Louis. We know he marches to the beat of his own drum and would love knowing his birthday present allows other students to as well.
