What is Team Crowdfunding?
Crowdfunding is the practice of funding a specific project through many small donations from a large number of donors.
Peer-to-peer fundraising is the practice of getting your supporters to fundraise on your nonprofit's behalf.
When you put them together, you get Team Crowdfunding - A powerful fundraising format that rallies your most loyal supporters to raise money for your specific project. Each team member gets their own personalized fundraising page centered around your nonprofit’s message, which is linked back to your main fundraising page. This is Gladitood's unique approach to peer-to-peer fundraising. It requires slightly more work upfront, but the return is greater in raising more money and capturing more long-term donors.
Why Should You Care?
Peer-to-peer fundraising and crowdfunding have long been successful strategies to raise money quickly and efficiently, and we think we've drastically improved them both by bringing them together with Team Crowdfunding. Peer-to-peer projects do a great job at raising money, but typically people are donating to support their friends, not your nonprofit, so it can be difficult to convert those donors into repeat donations. On the other hand, crowdfunding is a great way to show your specific impact to donors which makes converting those donors into repeat donors much easier, but crowdfunding projects rarely spread the same as peer-to-peer fundraisers. That's why we married the two together, and here's why you should care.
Crowdfunding projects with a team behind them are likely to raise twice as much as projects without a team pushing them. Recruiting a team to help you spread the word about all the awesome you're putting into the world can be the difference between a dud and a successful project. That is exactly the point - to spread the word about the impact you're having - which is why your message is at the center of every team member's fundraising page.
Team Crowdfunding goes beyond just recruiting ten people who care about your mission though. It will give you the opportunity to peek into each team member's network. Your donor report will show you every donor associated with each team member, so you can see who's capturing the $100 donors and who's capturing the $5,000 donors. Information like that can be extremely helpful with future projects.
